Identifying and applying simple solutions to challenges is my pièce de resistance- it is what drives and inspires me.

Hi, I’m Shannon. I am a UX designer with a background in fine art, finance…and ranching. The kind of ranch you find horses on, not the kind you put on a salad… or pizza (no judgement). I am passionate about finding creative and innovative solutions to life’s challenges through brainstorming and collaboration.

Once you find your own personal tribe, you can feel at home no matter where you are. It could be a person, a place, a job, a hobby- anything or anyone that helps you feel like your most authentic self.

I ventured through the realms of art, ranching and finance before working with a career coach who introduced me to UX/UI Design. That was my defining “aha moment.” I learned I could successfully apply my creative ideas, empathy for other people, and upbeat personality to improving our ever-expanding digital world- I found my tribe.

Let’s talk more about what it takes to improve the digital world and in turn, assist those in need. I am driven by a strong sense of empathy and discovery, each of which are poured into every aspect of my design work. I strive to understand problems, uncover the most ideal and individualized solutions through testing- in design and beyond- and consistently ask questions to dig down to the root of any opportunity for improvement.

In order to help a company thrive, I would work best in an environment built on collaboration. It is important to me to talk through problems and consider solutions from different perspectives. Through my collective year of UX/UI experience thus far and previous work experience, I know I would like to be a Visual Designer or on the Research and Development team of an established mid to large-sized company in the gaming, educational, automotive or entertainment industry.
